Simply dial the International Access Number (will open in new window) for the country in which you're traveling and wait to be prompted. How do I make an international call from my home phone?
Within the US, dial 011 + country code + city code + local number. For operator assistance, dial 00 (extra charges may apply for operator-assisted calls).

How do I make an international call from within the US using my Sprint FONCARD?
To make an international call from within the US from a touch-tone phone, dial 1-800-877-8000, wait for tone or voice prompt, then dial 01 + country code + city code + local number. Wait for a second tone or voice prompt and then enter your 14-digit Sprint FONCARD number to complete the call.
To make an international call from within the US from a rotary phone, dial 1-800-877-8000, wait for a tone and hold until an operator answers (an operator will assist you within 10 seconds). Tell the operator you are using a rotary phone, and then give the number you want to call and your 14-digit Sprint FONCARDSM number. The operator will complete the call with the applicable Sprint FONCARD surcharge.

Can I use a Sprint FONCARD from a rotary phone?
Yes. To use your FONCARDSM from a rotary phone:
1. Dial the number you want to call and wait for an operator.
2. Inform the operator that you are calling from a rotary phone, and provide the number you are calling and your FONCARDSM number.
3. The operator will complete the call with an applicable calling-card surcharge.

How do I make a long-distance call using my Sprint FONCARD?
1. Dial the Sprint Access Number on the back of the card.
2. At the tone or voice prompt, dial 0 + area code + phone number.
3. At the next prompt, dial your FONCARDSM number.

How do I make an international call from outside the US using my Sprint FONCARD?
To make an international call from outside the US from a touch-tone phone, dial the international country code and city code for the country in which you are traveling (see International Access Number [will open in new window] for the country and city code). Provide the operator with your FONCARD number or follow the voice prompts, then dial the number you want to call.

If I need to make more than one call, do I have to hang up and start over?
No. To make multiple calls without hanging up:
1. Finish your first phone call. If there is a busy signal or no answer, don't hang up.
2. Press the pound (#) button for two full seconds.
3. Enter 0 if you are calling to the US or Canada from abroad, or 0 + 1 if you are calling from the US to an international country.
4. Dial the next number you want to call. If you are calling from a rotary phone, simply stay on the line until a Sprint operator returns, and then provide the operator with the next number you want to call.
